Founded in 2021 by Daniel Dawson, Southern Pine Construction was built on a lifelong passion for the construction industry. As a third-generation carpenter, Daniel learned the trade from an early age before making the decision to leave his career in public safety and pursue construction full-time. His vision was to create a family-oriented company known for integrity, reliability, and workmanship that stands the test of time.
Today, we proudly serve homeowners throughout East Alabama, with select services also available in West Georgia based on project scope and licensing requirements. Our services include remodeling, new home construction, home additions, roofing, decking, fencing, siding, flooring, exterior improvements, and residential repairs.

Founder and CEO
Daniel has been in construction for more than 20 years. Starting out remodeling houses in high school, he's learned how to build a house from the foundation up. Five years ago he left his job in public safety and turned his passion into a business that focuses on the long-term goals and satisfaction of his clients. Daniel is a family man and believes in doing the very best for every family he serves.
Stephen Stubbs
COO and Partner
Stephen manages the day-to-day operations of Southern Pine Construction, overseeing project coordination, scheduling, resource management, and team support. His leadership helps ensure each project stays organized, runs efficiently, and progresses smoothly from the initial planning stages through final completion. Committed to maintaining high standards of quality and communication, Stephen plays an integral role in delivering a positive experience for every client. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family.
